For my final project in typography, I redesigned and bound Gabriel Smith's novel “Brat.” The goal of the design was to weave the content and design together more closely and make them more tangible. The challenge was to represent the different authors' voices within the book in different ways without disrupting the flow of reading. 

I redesigned the book: I changed the size, redesigned the cover, and gave the pages a new type area and typography. Finally, I bound the book with open thread stitching by hand.
